David Jaques, Housing Development Manager, City of Cardiff Council

I have worked at the City of Cardiff Council for 14 years and am currently the Housing Development Manager with a remit to maximise the delivery of affordable housing in Cardiff. I have recently implemented the ‘Housing Partnership Programme’ an innovative housing partnership which will see 1,500 new homes built across 40 council owned sites throughout Cardiff with at least 40% of these being built as council homes. I also manage the Enabling Team tasked with negotiating affordable housing provision through planning gain and delivering the cities Social Housing Grant programme, working closely with our partner Housing Associations.
