Decarbonising transport – roadmap towards greener transport sector

With climate change targets, decarbonising UK transport and creating air pollution free sustainable cities being high on the UK Government’s agenda, there is a clear need to make rapid progress in this direction.

The recent commitment by the UK Government to fund innovative transport infrastructure, new electric cars, hydrogen buses and reduce the emission of existing transport, is part of a £390 million investment in future technologies.

The session will explore the Government’s strategy to decarbonise transport by 2050, current and future industry commitments, outline infrastructure investment case for low carbon public transport infrastructure and investment needs in the space.
