About

Following the success of our Virtual EV Charging Infrastructure AC, DC, V1G, V2G Focus Day on 9 October 2020 hosted and chaired by Zouk Capital we received overwhelmingly positive feedback from our technology buyer-participants ranging from large retail and food store chains to mid-size and large-size fleet operators, FTSE350 corporates, government agencies through to UK local and regional authorities.

We learnt that UK organisations can gain very substantial savings and earnings whilst adopting EV charging infrastructure and converting their fleets to EVs.

The momentum is picking up and 2021 will see a much bigger and long-awaited market offer from the leading OEMs and CPOs which means the adoption of EV charging infrastructure is no longer a game of wait-and-see, but rather learn quick and act now.

For many C-suite leaders it also means a speedy alignment of their vision with the one of their corporate green investor shareholders or the one heavily influenced by UK Government and its newly announced timeframe for switching to the EVs is becoming more of a prominent objective in 2021 than ever.

Reflecting on the fast paced and innovation-driven EV charging space we have partnered with Oxford City Council (our Group Chairs on Day 1, 8 June), British Antarctic Survey (our Keynote Speaker) and Zouk Capital (our Chair on Day 2, 9 June) to bring you a unique and in-depth two-day industry experience with insightful dialogues, targeted debates and detailed case studies from the leading industry peers at our next Focus Day.

You will have an advance access to our speaker case studies, more time allocated in the agenda for your important questions to our speakers, and the necessary material to fully prepare yourself for truly meaningful discussions and pre-arranged meetings with your industry peers on the day.

Join us on 8-9 June 2021 at the British Museum for our two-day in-person EV Charging Infrastructure, AC, DC, V1G, V2G Stakeholder Focus Days.

CHAIR, Day 2 - 9 June 2021

Electric mobility continues to grow rapidly. In 2018, the global electric car fleet (EVs) exceeded 5.1 million almost doubling the number of new electric car registrations from the previous year. Global Electricity demand from EVs is now projected to reach almost 640 terawatt-hours (TWh) in 2030 with light duty vehicles as the largest electricity consumer among all EVs. With an increasing number of original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) having declared intentions to electrify the models they offer, investment in battery manufacturing is growing fast in Europe. Utilities, charging point operators, charging hardware manufacturers and other stakeholders in the power sector are also increasing their investment in the roll-out of charging infrastructure.

With a definitive EV revolution on its way there are over 19,400 public charging points and 373,600 plug-in incl. fully electric EV models registered in the UK (figures correct as of October 2020) and current UK government only recently pledged further major investment in Britain’s electric car charging network – with a vision that no electric vehicle (EV) owner should be more than 30 miles away from their nearest charge point. Highlighted in a recent industry projections the UK will have 7 million EVs in circulation requiring around 28,000 public charging points and capital expenditure of around £1.6 billion between 2020 and 2030. This represents a paradigm shift for both the transport and power sectors with the potential to advance the decarbonisation of both sectors. Looking ahead an estimated investment of £48 billion will be required to upgrade UK’s electricity grid to prepare Britain for the electric car revolution.

The EV Charging Infrastructure, AC, DC, V1G, V2G Stakeholder Focus Days invite you to join us on 8-9 June 2021 to engage with dealmakers and key stakeholders from public and private EV infrastructure segments that will drive the uptake, installation, product and technology development and wide roll-out of UK and Europe’s electric mobility infrastructure over the next few years.
